My name is Samantha Kay, and while I’m still in my 20s, I know a lot about finance and investing. I’m not a savvy day trader and I don’t lecture on complicated investment theory, but I have the basics down and I’m constantly learning more.
I’ve always been interested in investing. I first starting buying stocks when I was in college. I enjoyed the process, but unfortunately, I had to sell all my shares to buy textbooks. Before I started buying stocks, I had a poor understanding of how they worked. My expectations were beyond possible because I didn’t understand the process. That’s why I started buying lots of books and reading everything I could about stocks and other securities.
I went to college for Accounting and later decided to add a Finance major as well because it was only a few extra classes. I soon discovered that I enjoyed finance much more. Investment Analysis and Portfolio, Money and Banking, and Personal Financial Planning were among my favorite classes. Now, I have a dual Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance.
I decided to start this website because I wanted to help other people. I always had trouble finding concrete information geared toward beginners online when I was first starting. I wanted to create something that I would have loved to find when I first started out. Sure, there are lots of investing sites, but Best Investments for Beginners is unique because the beginner is always catered to.
Right now my site is still small, but I’m constantly looking for ways to improve navigation and make it easier to get started. I’m also constantly adding lots of valuable information to help you get started. Feel free to use the contact page above if you have any topics you want to know more about. Investing isn’t my only interest. I also enjoy writing, cooking, reading fiction, and dabbling in various other hobbies. I only wish all my hobbies were as lucrative as investing!
I built this website to help other new investors. Those who don’t know anything about investing but have the desire to learn and those who know the basics but want to know more will get the most out of it.
